Before I start posting anything on this blog, I would like to tell you the purpose of this blog.
At the moment I study to get my degree in journalism. To become a journalist it is vital to be able to write articles. Although I study to become a journalist, in my study – how odd as it may seem – they don’t teach us to actually write an article. They tell us theoretically how to do it, they teach us the deontological code, the ethical codes of journalism, media law etc. BUT not to actually WRITE it.
So to get my writing going, I’ve decided to open this blog. As many may know, writing is something you learn while doing it. I have already written a fiction novel -one that i’m currently trying to get published – but I never wrote anything that could be considered journalism.
What you can expect here is my writings (or at least the sad attempts), fiction, non-fiction and even some poetry if you can believe it!
I will also share things with you which I think are very interesting or influence me in some way.All the material here is produced by me, unless otherwise stated. All opinions are my own and I take full responsibility for them. BUT remember opinion are like asses, everyone has them! So if you happen to disagree (which is totally fine) please refrain yourself from insulting, cursing and all other juvenile thoughts and actions! Although constructive critism is always welcome!
One last thing, I’m Belgian. My mothertongue is Flemish, yet I prefer to write in English. Although it’s far from perfect, I intend to keep doing so. So bare with me if the spelling or grammar goes wonky!
